ProductRex Connector

Create ProductRex scenarios using the client information already held in Paradino. Compare options. Bring confirmed research into an SoA or RoA.

ProductRex is already a familiar part of investment research for many advice teams. Advisers use it for product comparisons, platform research, portfolio analysis, asset allocation and scenario modelling.

With the ProductRex Connector, that work can now start from Athena.

Athena can use meeting summaries, advice documents and files saved in the client Knowledge Base. It can create a ProductRex scenario, retrieve the result and use the confirmed information within the advice workflow.

Where ProductRex fits in the advice process

Start with the client file

Before creating a scenario, check that Paradino holds the information ProductRex will need.

This may include:

  • the client’s risk profile
  • current platform details
  • current investments
  • the recommended platform
  • recommended investments
  • the total portfolio amount

Athena will ask for any missing information before creating or updating the scenario.

You can ask Athena to begin ProductRex work from the client workspace, SoA or RoA workflows.

You Can Ask Athena That

There is no special command to remember. Start with the question already in your head. Here’s a few examples below.

Before you start

“What information is missing before you create a ProductRex scenario for this client?”

Athena can check the information available in Paradino and ask for anything needed before creating or updating the scenario.

“Create an investment research scenario for this client using the latest fact find and file note.”

Athena can use information already held in Paradino, including meeting summaries, advice documents and files in the client or practice Knowledge Base.

Compare the options

“Compare the current portfolio and recommended portfolio in investment research and summarise the asset allocation changes.”

Use this to understand how the proposed portfolio differs from the client’s current position.

“Create a platform research scenario using the current and recommended platform details in the client Knowledge Base.”

The Connector can also be used for product research, portfolio comparisons, asset allocation analysis and scenario modelling.

Bring the research into the advice

“Use the confirmed ProductRex information from this scenario in this SoA.”

The same approach can be used within a RoA workflow. Review the ProductRex scenario before relying on the information in an advice document.

Review the ProductRex scenario

ProductRex remains the research source.

Before using the results in an advice document, review the scenario data. Check the client details. Confirm the current position and proposed position. Make sure the research supports the recommendation.

Athena helps move the information through the Paradino workflow. The adviser remains responsible for the advice.

No need to find the client again

When ProductRex returns a client link, Paradino saves it against the client.

Future ProductRex work can use the saved link automatically, so you do not need to manually search for the client again.
