April Product Update

Alex Gassner

April’s Product Update includes a range of improvements across the Paradino workflow including Microsoft 365, RetireMap, Workspace, mobile and practice settings.

A number of these updates have been shaped by user feedback and feature requests, alongside broader improvements to the overall product experience.

What’s in this month’s update

  • the new Microsoft 365 Connector
  • the new RetireMap Connector
  • Workspace updates
  • new Admin Practice Settings
  • a more flexible mobile recording experience
  • And Create Advice Presentation, now available to Pro Max subscribers

Microsoft 365 Connector

For teams already working in OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams, the new Microsoft 365 Connector keeps the workflow more in sync.

Existing documents can be synced into Paradino for context. Generated documents can be saved back to the right client folder or subfolders. Microsoft Teams recordings can also be turned into summaries inside Paradino, without bouncing between systems all day. The release notes also confirm summaries are generated directly from audio, with the option of a full transcript and a secondary AI check against the source recording or transcript.

RetireMap Connector

Bridging the gap between Cashflow modelling and RoA / SoA drafting.

You finish a client meeting. Paradino already has the notes, documents and client data. With the RetireMap Connector, Athena helps turn that into a RetireMap base plan, so you can get into modelling without re-entering the same information or rebuilding it from scratch.

You then use RetireMap to build and refine scenarios. Once the right strategy is chosen, it comes back into Paradino and into Strategy Assist for SoA drafting.

The biggest gain is in the prep before modelling starts. That’s where hours have been getting lost. This gives some of that time back.

Create Advice Presentations in minutes

While not brand new in this release our Advice Presentation is being highlighted alongside April’s broader workflow updates.

The feature turns SoAs, RoAs and uploaded documents into client-ready slide decks inside Paradino. You can generate a presentation from an existing strategy, a Knowledge Base document, or a newly uploaded PDF or DOCX. Once created, the deck can be refined using natural language prompts, styled with firm branding, presented inside Paradino, and exported as a fully formatted PowerPoint (PPTX) file.

For teams already working on advice documents in Paradino, it removes the need to rebuild the same work again in slides.

Workspace updates

Prompt Library

The new Prompt Library helps teams keep outputs more consistent across the practice.

Inside Workspace, prompts can be accessed through Ask something else in the auto-prompts section. This opens a searchable list of suggestions and featured one-click prompts. Prompts marked with a “T” activate a specific template and populate it with data. Users can also save prompts they have developed or refined during a conversation, then choose which module they should appear in, such as Workspace or Client Meetings.

Rewind, edit and re-run

Workspace now includes a simpler way to refine prompts when engaging with Athena

A pencil icon next to a prompt lets users rewind the conversation to that point, edit the original instruction, and rerun it from there. It is a cleaner way to refine work than pushing through multiple follow-up responses just to get to the version you wanted.

Admin Practice Settings

A new Admin Practice Settings area has also been added to user settings for users with the Owner role.

This includes practice-level controls for template distribution, shared clients and documents, auto sync, custom file naming, and early access enrolment. The release notes also confirm that practices can use a partner code to distribute templates and Knowledge Base documents across the practice, and enable broader collaboration across clients and workflows where needed.

Mobile app update

The mobile update gives users more flexibility around recording and getting audio into Paradino.

You can now pause and resume recording during a meeting, share a call recording or voice memo directly to Paradino, or upload an audio file from elsewhere on your device.

To access the latest mobile features, make sure your app is up to date. If auto-update is off, you may need to update it manually (App Store and Google Play).
