# Announcing our SOC 2 Type 1 Report

We are excited to announce that we have successfully completed a SOC 2 Type 1 audit. This milestone underscores our commitment to maintaining the highest levels of security and operational excellence.

## What is SOC 2?

SOC 2 is a security framework that specifies how organisations should protect customer data from unauthorised access, security incidents, and other vulnerabilities. The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants \([AICPA](https://www.aicpa.org/home)\) developed SOC 2 around five Trust Services Criteria: security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.

Companies are facing a growing threat landscape, making information and data security a top priority. A single data breach can cost millions, not to mention the reputation hit and loss of customer trust.

There are a variety of standards and certifications that SaaS companies can achieve to prove their commitment to information security. One of the most well-regarded is the SOC report — and when it comes to customer data, the SOC 2.

## What it means for us at Paradino

When we founded Paradino, we made a commitment to ourselves and our customers that our organisation and platform would adhere to the highest security standards. A significant milestone in that journey is to obtain our SOC 2 Type 1 report. 

We are not going to stop there. We are currently in our SOC 2 Type 2 observation window until June 30 so stay tuned.
